THIS BOOK! Holy, I never thought there would be a book out there that could combine a sports ROMANCE (finally baseball for the baseball girlies), heavy on the romance (my god Maren, you are are an incredible romance writer ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ) with Taylor swift mentioned so many times, with seriously amazing main characters and side characters.
This is just such a beautiful, fun, + spicy romance with such a great storyline to it.

If you want a good story with relatable characters, that has lots of spice, READ THIS.

"I was made to love you and I've never been more sure of anything in my life. Over baseball, over the minors. Over it all. This is what I'm sure of."

we love a man who is obsessed with his woman and reese landry is proof of that!!! he fell first AND harder and i love to see it! i loved hallie and lane's story but reese and viv's definitely beat HP for me because 1. it's enemies to lovers and 2. they're so stinking cute!! like he bought her a cat because she mentioned wanting one ONCE for gods sake!!!

A solid sports romance with mental health representation!

Viv has kept herself closed off for a while now, having lost her father and watched as her mother spiraled in her grief. She tells herself that she needs to rely on herself, that no one else needs to be party to her grief and her struggles so that no one can let her down.

Reese is a cocky baseball star who is on his way to the minors, content to be free to do as he pleases so that he can keep his focus on his career as a catcher. He doesn't want or need anything serious that could distract him from that.

Until he meets Viv, and their one night stand turns his whole world around.

When her circumstances become desperate enough that she has to give up her dorm room and Reese impulsively offers for her to move in with him, you know there will be sparks. They're going to do everything possible to ignore their attraction to each other, fighting over stupid things just to try and keep that wall in place. But, of course, Reese falls HARD for the fiesty, dark haired Vivienne...and bit by bit the walls slowly begin to crumble as Viv comes to learn that she doesn't need to face the whole world on her own.

They balance one another out, accept the good with the bad, and encourage the other to keep pushing for their dreams.

My only major qualm is that Reese is perfect. There is no true conflict or issue with him that Viv accepts when he can't. There's no vices, no issues...just the steady acceptance (and serious bank account) to help Viv through each situation.

Wow, this book was filled with so many fun moments, swoon worthy, and really heartfelt moments. This is a romance book through and through, but on top of that, there are some heavy topics that I think the author wrote absolutely beautifully. After knowing how much of the author put into this book based on her real life experiences reading this took a whole different turn for me. I found myself being absolutely in love with the characters, and with the story altogether.

This is a very spicy read and has a lot of funny moments between the two main characters. I found myself laughing out loud, sweating at the spicy scenes, and falling in love with Reese. He was absolutely perfect. He is your definition of a golden retriever boyfriend, the way that he loved, supported, and took care of Vivian was breathtaking. Vivian is a strong female character. She knows what she wants and she sheโ€™s going to go after it. I loved both of them so much and I loved them together.

I absolutely cannot wait for the third book in the series and to learn more about Grant, he was so funny in the book and had so many laughable moments, especially with his relationship with Vivian and Reeseโ€˜s cat. All of the characters in these books are so lovable. I love how we got the couple from the first book. I absolutely adore Hallie.

If you love a close, proximity, golden retriever, very spicy scenes, and a romance that will definitely touch your heart in more ways than one. I definitely recommend this book.

I'm a huge sucker for a baseball romance.
