Very funny satire on patriarchy by a Norwegian writer. A classic feminist dystopia, up there with Gilman's Herland.

This book made an impression as a though experiment when I read it as a young teenager ... Showing the absurdity and tragicomedy of sexist culture, including how it messes with the heads of ruling as well as ruled sex and gender, in a reversed sci-fi version of a matriarchal eco-regime.
A forerunner to fantasies like the praised "The Power", but decades earlier.
