POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT:
********
I was enjoying it until the last 20 or so pages when a plot twist happens that is just legally false and totally ruined all suspension of disbelief. It just makes the ending not remotely possible, or possible but for the wrong reasons. A real bummer!

Thank you Random House for the free book. Try it if you liked The Rehearsal but wished that instead it was a thriller set in a contemporary Hollywood where breakthrough roles become bargaining chips in a devastating game.

I’ve only read two Catherine Steadman books to date and I loved them both for the same reason. While there are parts of the book you can predict, it’s so hard to fit all of the pieces together until the end. I love that there are twists that actually catch me off guard, a rarity in this genre for me.

This was so fun, similar themes to Woman in Cabin 10. Audiobook had great narration and even some sound effects, super immersive listening experience

5 audiobook stars for sure!! The effort!! The muffled voices, the voices on the other end of the phone call.. the eerie sound effects, the tangible sounds of pages flipping.. I am very impressed.

I also really loved the ending. That last and final twist. I was well spooked.

Heavy content warnings though.
