like i saw one of the plot twists coming but alas it was still fun
fast-paced
I barely made it through this one. a total mess, but somehow insanely boring - I just couldn’t care enough about anything that was happening to actually try to figure out what was happening. so much more sex than the first book, which normally would be a good thing but in this case was just weird and out of place. dual POV is my favorite but in this book I could never tell who was narrating, which - obviously you can check the name at the start and usually they’ll eventually refer to the other character, but generally there’s something in the writing that does the trick? it’s a bad sign that both characters had identical voices. I don’t know why with so many characters and side plots nobody else got a POV. I also don’t know why this was so insanely long. I furthermore don’t know how people are still writing the most soap-opera simple caricatures of wealthy people. idk it was just all around bad, which was weird bc the first wasn’t great but it wasn’t like this - I thought for sure it would at least hold steady? but no.

Not as strong as the first book but still messy and dramatic in all the best ways. This book felt slightly too long but I can’t wait for the next one.

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for the opportunity to the read, Destructively Yours by Krista & Becca Ritchie.
I was excited to read the sequel to Dishonestly Yours. Unfortunately, I felt this was longer than necessary and the build up fell flat for me. I feel the other characters are extras in a storyline that isn’t as important as Phoebe and Rocky. So when certain things come to light, it felt unimportant and I wasn’t invested.
This story gives some answers to Dishonestly Yours questions but it felt timed out and flat as I mentioned before.
Overall, there’s not much advancement with this story.
