querido vento nunca entendí muy bien tus clases de antropología filosófica pero este libro de libritos explica muchas cosas

una delicia (para leer con moderación, que me empaché y me duró el empacho años)

extraordinarily enjoyable, the washing machine story was just brilliantly delightful. points off for a weird sentence about women. the book takes a delightful look at scientists, their creations, and the decisions we all make with each other

I skipped the last story, but otherwise happily read all of these. Many of the themes explored here are part of the current conversation, so it all feels contemporary. I can only imagine how different it felt to read these 60 years ago at publication.

как-то совсем не мое, скучненько, или беззубая сатира, или про религию, или какой-то престарелый несмешной юмор

These short stories ranged from mildly amusing to pretty awesome. My least favorites were "The Twenty-Fourth Voyage" and "The Washing Machine Tragedy". Both started out interesting, but managed to lose my attention about halfway through. "The Eighteenth Voyage" also kind of lost me towards the end with all its "clever" names (Lou Cipher is Lucifer etc. How amazingly witty...), but I liked the idea of the story. I really enjoyed the first four stories in "Further Reminiscences of Ijon Tichy" though, especially I and II. And the end story, "Let Us Save the Universe" was amusing.

A big fat meh. The stories were too passive. The Professor Donda story was good though.
