Probably not the series Nalini Singh is most well known for but I LOVE it.

I loved this sweet story about two enemies, who are actually friends, getting together. They start a fake relationship after a scene that could have caused a scandal for Daniel and his career as a rugby player. Catie is a professional runner who had an accident as a child and had to get her legs amputated. They are both successful athletes and childhood friends.
I loved Daniel, his family is great and supportive! Catie is also sweet and together, they create a beautiful couple.
Thanks, NetGalley and Nalini Singh for the ARC. These thoughts are my own.

No matter that I love pretty much everything I read from Nalini Singh, I thought the start of this book was a bit rushed. The fake dating trope last like one chapter before they're actually dating and now trying to hide it from their family?

This was such a lovely read and I'm SO glad I re-read the preceding books, in particular book 1, for when Danny first met Catie and the start of their frenemies to lovers story.

This could very well be a 4-star read upon second reading, but for now, I'll leave it at 3.75. The thing about Nalini Singh's couples is that you know you're going to root for them, that they're going to be good for each other, to each other. This one is no different. There are a few plot points I have to think about some more and maybe revisit, but for the most part, the emotional journey is nuanced, grounded, and genuine.

A sweet, sexy, frenemies to lovers story between two amazing athletes.
I love the Bishop-Esera clan and I am happy to have the final sibling in my shelves to reread as often as I want!
