This second compilation of Scottoline's columns from her Philadelphia newspaper did not disappoint! Her first book was my favorite book last year, so that is saying a lot! This time there are quite a few chapters written by her 24 yr old daughter, Francesca, that are entertaining as well. I find her so down to earth and a breath of fresh air. And you know that fact that she adores dogs doesn't hurt one bit!

After Why my Third Husband Will Be a Dog, I knew I had to read more of her books. I purchased a few of her mystery novels from a library sale, and still they sit, looking at me, neglected and angry.

Her essays are more intriguing. Sorry, guys.

This is just as hilarious as Third Husband, but sadly, much shorter. The issues I had with Francesca's narrating in that one didn't occur her, I think she found a natural rhythm with this one. And Lisa's voice is still soothing and comfortable.

The stories are hilarious and heart warming. Truth be told, she makes me jealous that I'm not related to her to hear these stories first hand.

My nest isn't empty, it just has more closet space_ [the amazing adventures of an ordinary woman] by Lisa Scottoline - Serritella_ Francesca Scottoline
This audio book is spoken from mother and her daughter who doesn't live at home anymore. Funny comical chapters about getting old, needing glasses and finding chin hairs.
Daughter knows her mothers quirls and they are funny...
Love take on automatic lights, wicked funny! Liek tidbits from grandmother also
Q&A at the end. so funny book, just what you need to read for a pick me upper!
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

I listened to this on audio and it was fun and delightful. Light as air (for the most part) and consistently amusing, I find myself enjoying Scottoline's essays/memoirs more than her fiction books. Listen or read this book and you instantly want to hang out with her and her daughter Francesca.

I love Lisa Scottoline's mysteries, but could not get all that enthused about these little snippets of everyday life. About one out of 20 pages I would actually laugh, and they were just kind of boring. Halfway through, I gave up. There are other books to read in the world.
