Highly entertaining, utterly heartbreaking. you'll definitely laugh and cry with this one. As funny as Griffin is, his second half of the book encompasses what a murder trial is like, and he definitely does his best to put you there. A beautiful book about family, and what it is to love and lose them.

The audiobook is read by the author and, as you would expect, it is excellent.

Although the introduction is about his sister's murder, he then restarts with his great-grandparents. It's a little hard to catch all the names with the audiobook, but I still recommend that format.

The book picks up speed with each chapter. Dunne is open and honest about his actions and motivations.

I laughed out loud at the many "you couldn't make this up" moments. I had to fast forward through a short section where something bad happens to the author in school. I had a nightmare after I finished the book, influenced by the details of his sister's murder.

It held my interest throughout, and I looked forward to getting back to it each day.
