This book reads like the author was writing a Kitchen Witch book, but ran out of stuff to talk about so she made it a Hearth Witch-esk book.
I'm not saying this book is bad by any means. My only real complaint is that she uses the term smudging and recommends white sage. But this did mostly focus on kitchen magick and less so on other areas of the home. I would've like more focus on other areas of the home and how to turn your already established habits around the home into something more magickal.
Also there was a weird part in the middle where she seems to bash the fact that women joined the workforce. Because that made house work seem less important. That part made me feel icky, but I can understand what she was trying to say

Great for beginners on this path. I appreciate how it did not cover a specific “practice”, but gave a holistic view of the subject in general. I appreciate the breadth this book covers, even though there were only a few times that the book became more involved. The workings and rituals were neatly expressed and the author doesn’t exclude adjacent specialty practices, such as green witchery or kitchen witchery.
For myself, a curious seeker, I appreciated the calm enthusiasm the author has for loving the environment one finds oneself in. This is the true treasure of this book imho. If you find yourself in a place where you are not sure you belong, using this book to help you spiritually prepare a “home” for yourself is a good idea. And if you are already “home” this book will remind you to cherish your fortunes.

Great start for beginners, but I recommend having something learned elsewhere too, so you can pick your own ideas and practices from different sources

1/5 for the title.
I THOUGHT THIS BOOK IS ABOUT A WITCH. my fault for going in blind.
