Honestly… I wanted to feel bad for her, but the poems were so poorly written that I just wanted the book to end. If this had been a prose memoir, I think it would have been a lot better.

I really like this collection of poems. It's open and vulnerable. It's also a bit scathing. You can tell it comes from a place of hurt, and it's highly relatable. 

I also really enjoy the illustrations. I like that surreal style of art. 

Overall, just a really good book.

I don't want to review this book too harshly considering it was a book about someone else's trauma but I didn't consider this book to be poetry instead it was more a trauma dump.

This was hard to listen to. Coming from self inflicted ex trauma, it's very heavy. But damn is it so so good.
