No words after reading this. I understand the ending but it was a little underwhelming and really wanted more world building to be set up but was very well written and the beginning really drew me in. Really shows how far we as a society are willing to go to ensure our own survival despite it being at the cost of someone else's suffering.

3.5. Oh wow the ending was horrific Jesus Christ. I thought the concept was rly interesting, but I’m not sure the execution did it justice- it felt like it was too description heavy and it just ended up drowning out the narrative. The characterisation of Marcos was interesting though- he was sympathetic compared to his amoral peers but in a vacuum he was still incredibly flawed. Still exploited and abused the head- maybe in the worst possible way- just like everybody else.
