AHHHHHHHH

screaming. just. so much screaming.

once again, cannot even fathom how wonderful this book and series are, literally speechless.

for the people calling this “filler”, so fucking what if it is? what’s so wrong about that? this is still one of the most interesting and engaging books i’ve ever had the pleasure of reading, and very clearly Does move the plot along, so frankly i couldn’t care less if it seems like filler bc it’s 5 star filler if it is.

so many questions were answered but i also have so SO many more, and isn’t that how every one of these books end? it’s a staple of the locked tomb series at this point.

all i do know is that i cannot wait for alecto to come out. holy shit i need more of this so bad.

4.5. I’m obsessed with this series. Every single book I read in this series I just love it more. The writing is also getting stronger with each book!

Muir has a great way of recontextualizing what we already know and obfuscating new information to make most of the books in this series baffling to begin with, and revealing enough by the end to make the journey satisfying. A nice, balanced tradeoff of questions answers and questions raised.

And as always the characters are deeply enjoyable and unique (
Palamedes is still my favorite, and his relationship with Camilla is heartbreakingly sweet
); I'm very much looking forward to the last book.

What just happened? I didn't struggle with this one as much as I did with Harrow but didn't enjoy it as much as Gideon.
