The plot with the aliens has been dull, but the visuals are as always great. I find that the fights are tedious and the only meaningful fight, involving One-Punch Man, has been pushed into the subsequent volume.

Rating Update 3/12/2019 - 3 to 2 stars. Because I found it boring, it doesn't mean I liked it (3 stars).

Update
With the adoption of my new rating system, a two star rating is befitting. The original review AND rating update from March 12, 2019, conform to the new rating system. Having read the synopsis of each chapter in this volume, I do recall being bored with most of the chapters, because of the long fight scenes. I did enjoy Saitama's humor but it is not enough to raise the rating of the volume to three stars.

Update
While looking at this volume, I thought that I must have seen the anime because I recall segments of the fight between Saitama and Boros, and Boros' death, a fight that does not occur until the seventh volume, which I have not listed as reading on Goodreads. I believe that I must have seen clips or perhaps (unlikely) read the fight online. I am unsure where these memories come from though. I write this because many sections of the One-Punch Man reviews rely on memories that I assumed came from reading the volumes, and not from watching the anime.

Haha, this was just epic.

I am loving this series more and more. This one had a bit more shounen stuff, but I didn't mind, as it was mixed with delightful comedy, and funny faces from Saitama.

Though I am a bit bothered I am now up-to-date with this series and now will have to wait until the next book comes out, in July. Tooooo long, especially with that cliffhanger at the end of this volume. I want to know what happens to the aliens, to the heroes, to Saitama. Will they defeat this mega-threat? Or will the earth just be conquered by creepy aliens.

I also love that, while Saitama is Class B, he gets dragged in the meeting with all the S heroes. The looks of those guys when they saw him. Luckily there are some in the S-class that know what Saitama can do, and will defend him if needed. I still think it is a bit strange that Saitama is still B-class. Come on, that guy kills/defeats any monster in one punch, yet he is still class B? He saved so many people, and heroes, but I guess people just don't like him. Or maybe it is the fact he also has to do a text exam. :D

I had a laugh when at first there were Wind monsters, only to be replaced by aliens. The way it was done, it just made me laugh. It is parodying the other shounen manga so much with what they did in this one (and also in the other volumes).

Saitama is still my favourite character (his expressions, the things he does), though I have to say that I am loving Puri-Puri-Prisoner more and more with each volume. He is just so hilarious, and the way he acts, I am just rolling off my chair. How he just keeps going back to jail to add guys to his harem. :D Also his attack names are also just so fitting for him (Puri-Puri-Prisoner Angel ☆ Style).
I do hope he will be around for a long time to come, I wouldn't want him to die during the alien encounter.

The way the seer died? And how everyone thought she was killed, while she actually died that way? I snorted, it was just funny that they all immediately thought she was killed, and then they were quite unsure what to think of how she actually died (Also who dies in that way?).

The art is still super amazing, I just love the details, and boy that maze/alienship 2 page spread? Wow. Just wow.

All in all, I will be eagerly awaiting the next volume, I want to know how this battle continues.

I would highly recommend this series to everyone!

Something that I'm noticing is that while I love the designs of most of the heroes and think that their fighting styles are cool, because they rarely take out monsters it almost seems pointless. Like they're all flash and no substance. I'm not sure if that's what One was going for (though I feel like he was), and if it is kudos to him, but the problem is that this is a cool concept but it doesn't make some of the fights any less rage-inducing.

Don't get me wrong, the fights are cool as fuck, but watching blow after blow and slash after slash and NOTHING seems to be getting accomplished, it gets old REAL FAST. Thankfully, the heroes did get to show their stuff AND defeat monsters (yay for little victories) so that was cool. And Borras is SO FUCKING COOL. Oh, and Saitama was as delightful as ever, but I feel like I'm just repeating myself every time I say that.

It's weird to say, but my interest is waning in this series. I'm not sure why, cuz there's nothing inherently wrong with this series, but I'm just not as enthusiastic about reading each volume as I was when I started. I'm sure I'll keep going, but I'm nervous about how much I'll enjoy the series going forward.
