I really loved the trip to Spain and the Spanish. There were some really funny moments during their time there. And truly I enjoyed all of the interactions between Aaron and Lina. I actually really liked Aaron a lot.
What I didn't love was how parts of this book were just way too similar to the plot of The Wedding Date. That is one of my absolute favorite movies and so those parts of the book were just too slow and not engaging for me.
I also felt like this book was at least 100 pages too long. I love long books but not when I end up skimming 3-4 pages occasionally because they are too repetitive or not important to the plot.
This is a debut novel and I wouldn't hesitate to read a sophomore novel from Armas, but overall this book didn't sweep me off my feet.
I read this book through my Kindle Unlimited subscription. This is my honest review.
