I just keep thinking about this book, and how the reader just gets swept into the story. It's absolutely marvelous. I cannot wait for the rest of the series to be translated into English.

ETA: This is my favorite book I read in 2023. "Harry Potter written by Kafka" is selling it short. Absolutely unique, quietly beautiful, completely devastating. Why we leave and why we stay in this self-making and self-destroying world of academia.

I don’t know what to rate this because I have no idea how I feel about it because I’m still not sure what was going on. But it it’s having more of an impression on me than any other book this year (progressive, I don’t think I’m going to stop thinking about it for a while).
Anyway I probably need to read it a few more times, and I would, because it was a very enjoyable (and deeply confusing) read.
