I need the mc to be so f-ing for real. This girl apparently knows how to find herself in 4 months, girlboss. I was really enjoying this book but the last 50 pages really lost me.

I think the author addressed things well, but the book has realistic moments where there is sexual harassment and fat phobia and bullying and racial slurs. If that makes you uncomfortable, perhaps only read this on a day when you have a lot of spoons.

I really enjoyed this book but there was A LOT of drama that at times felt unnecessary. The main character was immature at times but that was usually noted by the main character herself so there was some growth there which I appreciated. There was a decent amount of gaslighting from a couple of different characters but I was cheering when the main character stood up for herself and called it out. The plot had a pretty juicy start and the steamy scenes were well done. As noted in the content warnings, there is a mugging/physical assault that occurs that was unexpected. Also important to note that the police response to the event was infuriating. There were some heartwarming and sweet moments and some funny ones that made it a pretty well-rounded romance story.
