I really enjoyed this book at the beginning but as time went on, I started to become annoyed with Marlee. I liked the secondary characters (Naomi, Donny, Brynn) but there were times where Marlee was irritating. I felt as though she came across as "perfect", which is unrealistic on so many levels. I also thought she seemed somewhat unreasonable when she fought with Gavin but that may be an unpopular opinion. I also didn't like the use of hashtags throughout the book (it reminded me of the T.V show 'The Circle'). The reason I wanted to read it was because of the football aspect to it and is one of the reasons I think I liked it so much!

This would have been a really nice read. But the women-hating-other women really turned me off. Also, Gavin was giving me the ick☹️

A good edition to the "one that got away comes back" trope; however, I could have done without the hashtags, as they really brought me out of the story at times.

Rounded up since it is a debut.
Hoping there are fewer hashtags in the second book.
