I want everyone I know to read this book so I can share this experience with others! This book made my heart ache in a beautiful way over and over and over. The power of friendship, honest and beautiful reflections on marriage, how different people find and experience faith (or don’t), and 4 main characters I loved who were all so different yet I could relate to all of them in different ways.

This book is stunning. It explores what it means to have faith, to hone a faith, to maintain faith when it just seems so hard. There is no commentary on right or wrong, just an honest exploration of how we negotiate trials and heartbreak, and how it just might be possible to heal.

I didn’t care about any of the 4 characters but Nan.

This book felt too much like a theology debate or lecture. If you are into that you may really enjoy this book but just wasn't for me.

Many layers of faith, love, friendship and family. One that left me really thinking about faith and how our life reflects it.
