What a wild ride. I really enjoyed this read! I was hooked from the beginning. Des was such a sweetheart through out the entire book, which only made me fall for him more. Also, I am not sure how exactly I thought it would end...but I did not see that coming. I instantly want to pick up the second book and start reading!

This was definitely a slow burn, but I was satisfied by the end. I'm actually ready to jump into the next one, so great start to a series!

It took me a while to get into it, but I fairly enjoyed the first book. I Will read the next one soon.

A sweet Romantasy with an interesting and new concept. Not too fantasy heavy but an interesting story nontheless.
I could tell it took inspiration from ACOTAR. The first book was a good filler between a more advanced read. Not a lot of world building in this first book.

Holy shit balls, this book was phenomenal! It was recommended and they said it was good, but I was NOT expecting something so ADDICTIVE. Her past, their past, their present, the antagonist, the creepy ass children, the whole final two hours of the book.... ugh. This book has comedy, fantasy, spice 🥵.... I cringed, I laughed, I scowled, I yelled at nothing while driving around... there's four books and I've already borrowed the rest on libby... I'm debating on buying the boxset to add to my collection. 🥰
The only actual baaaad part was her pet name... it made me stabby 🔪 lol but, honestly, the book was good enough I am willing to overlook it
Fave quotes:
"I like that he taught me how to play poker and that I made him watch the Harry Potter movies. AND read the books."
"Just tell me the truth. Are you bobbin' for this guy's bananas?"
"The mountains might rise and fall, and the sun might whither away, and the sea claim the land and swallow the sky, but YOU will always be mine.
And stars might fall from the heavens, and night might cloak the earth, but until darkness dies... I will ALWAYS be yours." (Ummmm!! Excuuuuuuuse me, sir! 👀 f*cking SWOON! 😅)
