Let it be known that I am not Buddhist, nor am I studying Buddhism. I merely thought that this book would be interesting, and it certainly is. It includes maps, timelines, brief histories, and pronunciation guides, which are extremely helpful. It is a rather large book, and certainly not a book that I find myself sitting down and reading cover to cover, but I do enjoy flipping through and reading whatever I come across. It is interesting and fun to browse through. A scholar of Buddhism or someone who has studied the religion more thoroughly than I have would definitely find this book fascinating.
