The Lost Map was much better than the first book in the series. It gets a tad more exciting and a tiny bit less cheesy. A real protagonist vs just solving a mystery helps a lot. They mystery side of the book isn't bad. The adventure side is kind of slow. The characters are all still ridiculous though having Maruk for most of the book is better than Julia. I really have no desire to read anymore, but it would be an ok library book to check out.

Maybe Jason and Rick find a few things a bit too easily ;-) But it's a really enjoyable reading, a page-turner. And an awesome illustration work!!!
