Irish Milkshake Murder

This was three cozy mystery books all in one. Each one revolving around St. Patrick’s Day, Ireland, and milkshakes.
There were times that I laughed out loud during each story each one also had their cheesy moments as well. They were cozy mysteries, so nothing that was overly complicated and definitely not ones that will have you on the edge of your seat in suspense.
The narrator did a great job with the Irish accent, and even did a great job switching between each character.

Irish Milkshake Murder by Charlene O’Connor is part of the Home to Ireland mystery series. Tara Meehan and Danny O’Donnell are preparing for their wedding when Tara’s friend insists on a hen party. When the group go on a combined hen and stag party, nothing goes as planned and the night ends in murder.
This is the first book I have read in this series, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I really liked the characters of Tara and Breanna. I also enjoyed the end of the mystery and was surprised how it all came together. I look forward to starting this series from the beginning and getting to know Tara from the start.
Murder Most Irish by Peggy Ehrhart is part of the Knot & Nibble Mystery series. Pamela and Bettina are having lunch in their favorite restaurant when an unexplained death occurs. When it turns out to be murder, the duo are on the case, digging until they have uncovered the killer.
I have always loved this series and the characters of Pamela and Bettina and enjoyed visiting them again. This was a good short story and has me wanting to visit again!
Mrs. Claus and the Luckless Leprechaun is part of the Mrs. Claus mystery series. April Claus is pulled into a murder investigation when a famous ice ball player turns up dead.
This is the first book o have read in this series and I have to say, this series isn’t for me. April Claus is a good character, but I can’t get over the fact that everyone in the book are elves and I’ve elf names that confused me so much. This was a quick read and well written, but the premise in this book just isn’t for me.

Carlene’s Irish Milkshake Murder has Tara and her fiance have a joint hen and stag party in anticipation of their upcoming nuptials. This mystery was thoroughly entertaining and reminded me a bit of Agatha Christie novels where the suspects are forced to stay with each other under the circumstances until the murder was solved. Murder Most Irish by Peggy Ehrhart was enjoyable as I love the supporting cast in this series. And of course, Mrs. Claus and the Luckless Leprechaun had all the charming elf names one could desire, adorable setting and funny scenarios within the mystery. This mystery’s red herrings were well done and had me guessing right until the end. The narrator did a superb job with all the different character voices and adapting to the three authors’ writing styles.marcirenee1974's review against another edition

This was a fun read and I enjoyed all 3 stories. I did read books 1 & 2 by Carlene O'Connor before reading this ARC and I am glad I did as I would have been lost in the 1st short story. I love that Danny and Tara got together! I can't wait to see what shenanigans Tara gets up to in the next installment of this series!

I love Carlene O'Connor's writing and the Home to Ireland Mystery series and I am hopeful that a full story in this series is forthcoming.
I absolutely love the titles of Peggy Ehrhart's Knit & Nibble series, they always make me giggle. I wish that Peggy was a little less descriptive with her story telling; I don't need to know how Bettina takes her coffee and other small details.
This was the third story I have read in the Mrs. Claus series and the stories are whimsical and enchanting. I love that April comes from a normal city, fell in love with Santa, and moved to the North Pole. The elves are interesting and the different factions are representative of the way we treat each other.
Callie Beaulieu did a great job narrating these short stories. I honestly thought there were multiple narrators until I looked at the NetGalley widget when I was ready to write the review. I will definitely look for books narrated by Callie in the future.
