A great conclusion to this underrated YA dystopian trilogy! I was really invested in all of these characters and this last installment was bullets and violence from the beginning!

I did love this series, just some things could have been done better. I felt as though I didn’t have a connection with either phoenix or mouse. I honestly didn’t even care for mouse at all and I do think that it would have been a better ending if the main character did die. Some of the plot was confusing at times, especially when it was about all the tribe etc. but that didn’t mean I didn’t enjoy the book. I felt more for Grenald and Otto dying then I did the three main characters living.

The main thing I liked about this book was the traitor being Arden, I did not expect that at all as he was with them from the start. It was a good twist.
Overall the series was good, things could have changed to further better the books especially the second but worth the read.

The real question is....why doesn't Goodreads have partial starts yet...
I would give this a 4.5, mostly due to the seemingly rushed and seems to be missing something ending
But still quite the page turner
