I enjoyed this. Not as twisted as Some others I’ve read. Asher was intense and protective and this was actually a slow burn that I wasn’t expecting. Definitely a good read.
3.75 stars.
i loved the secret identity / stalker hero element. it'll probably go in my stalker faves tag.
two reasons why im not giving this a higher rating rn:
1) for a stalker romance the sex scenes are surprisingly devoid of dirty talk. most of the steamy scenes were paragraphs of actions and no talking except for the occasional sweet talk. i like a bit more talk to break up the wall of text that is sex scenes without talk.
2) it was fine for the first read but for a reread the sexy atmosphere of the hero being the heroine's stalker would be ruined by the knowledge that she's unknowingly being assaulted by another stalker for the same amount of time the hero has been in her life. if only the second stalker hadn't admitted to touching her in her sleep! everything else he did i would've tolerated but im not a fan of heroines being traumatized to this degree.
