I think I enjoyed the first book more? But thats not to discount this one. I love Silvia and Keir and I am so impressed by the DEPTH of the storybuilding for what easily could've been a "I came here for the plot" kind of book iykwim lol

I gave this one a little higher rating because the plot be plotting but the spice is still not for me. I think this author has so much potential.

We're back in the saddle with Keir and Silvia - but this time with a twist! Silvia is not only a vampire now, but a clan head. While I liked the concept and so appreciated getting answers on the cliffhanger from book one, this one didn't quite live up to Contract Bound. The pacing was hard to adjust to as some areas felt rushed and others felt extremely slow. The spice level was still there and did not disappoint, but I wanted more in the ways of Keir and Silvia's relationship. I wanted more development and emotion than we got. That being said, I still enjoyed the book. Even where it was rough around the edges I still found it to be a fun read.

I really enjoyed reading the first book in which it sucked me into reading the second. The second was enjoyable but some events seemed sudden. I was in a tangle of confusion during the end but I eventually caught on to what was going on. It definitely left with a cliff hanger which leads me looking forward to the third book. There’s no question in my mind about reading it. I look forward to seeing what happens next. This book was shorter than the first. I feel like there was room to prolong some parts of the book. All in all though, it is a good read and catches a readers attention. If you’re looking for something witty that will catch you off guard but also have your mind guessing for what comes next, this series is the series to read.

Honestly, I have a soft spot for the first book, probably because the MCs are in the chasing/yearning stage, but the 2nd book is more about the Silvia’s journey.

Went through this book faster than I did the first one, and I do feel like it is rushed compared to the first book, but hey, we got a happy ending at the end of it.

I’d probably only read it because I hate cliffhangers, and that’s what we go in the first book so.
