The art is incredible but sometimes I think I'm too dumb to understand what Carroll is trying to say in her stories. Maybe she's not trying to say anything at all and the horror is the unknown, etc., etc. The best story in the book is The Nesting Place, it's genuinely creepy and the characters are very fun.

Really enjoyed the artwork and style, and the way the stories didn't always have to have a conclusive ending, leaving us on an ominous cliffhanger more often than not, which is scarier to me.
A gothic collection of five stories. Each one is drawn in a different mesmerazing art style, is set in different period and features different characters. The connection between them is the woods, supernatural events and an ambiguous ending. Dark and beautiful.
Very nice anthology. Appropriate art with quick, spooky stories. Quick and fun read.
