genuinely really scary! some of the stories felt more "scary stories to tell in the dark" and others felt like a slightly darker Over the Garden Wall, but they were all properly creepy and properly beautiful. A wonderful little collection.

I genuinely didn't like this book. It was incoherent, bland, just not my cup of tea. The art style was quite nice though and the last big story was my favourite since it had more depth than the others. Would prefer a book just with this story being flushed out.

I had read that all the stories end on a cliffhanger. I don't have any problems with cliffhangers. However, for most stories the ending was so abrupt and open that I made me wonder what I had just read, it was confusing. Overall I give the stories 3 stars. I bumped it up half a star just for the art. The graphic novel does look absolutely beautiful.

This book jumped out at me one day while wandering around Strand in New York. It's worth it for the pictures alone. Gorgeous and creepy.
Some of the stories are better than others. A Neighbor's House and My Friend Janna, to me, felt a little underdeveloped, but the illustrations made up for it. My favorites where The Nesting Place and A Lady's Hands Are Cold. A great book to pick up on a creepy October night.
