This was a really fun read for the holidays, when you're busy and you don't have a whole lot of time or brainpower. It was really short, and I did feel like it ended rather abruptly. I realize it's a short story, and part of a larger series, but I really thought that we would at least find out who the mystery vampire was. Granted, I haven't read any of the other books in this series, so maybe it made more sense to those who had. I have read the Jane Jameson series, though. So this world wasn't entirely new to me.
I enjoy reading this author's books, and they always make me laugh, or at least smile.

Not really a complete story. More an introduction to the next book.
I read the Jane Jameson books and really enjoyed them. I have not read the Half-moon Hollow stories. Prefacing my review with that I thought this novella was okay. I feel you need to read both series before reading this book. This book also seemed to set the stage for the next book. Overall, I give it 2 stars.
So unsatisfying (in the best way)! I guess I misunderstood and did not realize this was a prequel - I'm not sure I can wait until March for the follow up.

This was a freebie on Amazon, yeah Holidays!! I really liked this sweet little visit with all our friends in Half Moon Hollow, but it totally leaves you hanging!! I want to know what is going to happen with GiGi!!!!
This is a very sweet thought, but a crazy tease at the same time. And not even a possible release date or teaser for GiGi's book! I really enjoyed the gift but it is like opening the batteries before you discover the toy under the tree!
The book of course carries Molly Harper's delicious wit and special brand of snark, I just wish it had been more of a visit with friends and less of a teaser for the next book. Any fan of the series will enjoy book, but if you have not read the previous books you may walk away feeling like you did not get the full story. It is definitely not a stand alone.
Amanda Ronconi is a fabulous narrator as always!! Although I have discovered her voices are very similar from book to book. She is one of my favorites and a delight to my ears!

This combined everything I love: an awesome author, a fabulous narrator, favorite characters, a cute story, Christmas, and, awkward-yet-funny family -oriented shenangins. Plus it was my "Christmas Gift" from Audible so that makes it even better in my book, but never mind that now.
Gigi is growing up and that's never easy. She needs "woman up" and tell her boyfriend how she feels as well as tell her sister about that scary Counsel job she might be taking. It may or may not be helping that there's a seriously hot ... ghost? vampire? imaginary friend? showing up at very odd moments - he is cute after all, even if he isn't corporial.
Gigi will have to face Ophelia, scary teen looking head of the local branch of the Councel, her boyfriend Ben, and her recently turned sister (not to mention all those new 'vampire-friendly' renovations to the house) before Christmas day. It's a good thing she has such awesome friends even if they do make her life really freakin' weird.

I found this one only okay. The humor and charm was still there, but I didn't know/remember enough about Gigi to be that interested. Since it was a short story, I would have rather heard the story from the perspective of a character who already has had a full book. Though I suppose the mysterious character from this one will show up in an upcoming book.
Incredibly cute, very funny! Especially the way Amanda Ronconi read it!
