20-30% of this book is a really gripping/disgusting/hilarious nightmare rollercoaster that I legitimately enjoyed and the rest of it feels like if you made a very talented writer punch up the novella of a 15 year old edgelord. The added material about the obscenity trial revolving around the book and Burrough’s descriptions of drug addiction were more interesting then the novel itself.
