Good

4*

I never read poetry. It's not something that's ever truly interested me if I'm honest but I had to read this one no matter what and though the writing felt odd, to me, I know it's not because this is dating and that's usually how poetry works anyway.

The Raven is more than a classic and it is a very good one. It's going to take a few reads before I truly understand all of it but I couldn't rate it any other stars because it is good. It's just me and my understanding of the text.

I’ve been a big fan of Poe’s works and writing style since high school, so I knew going into reading The Raven for the first time in years that I would still enjoy it.

Read during school.

I absolutely hate this book. Pointless. Way toooooo repetitive. Plot was pointless. Do not read this book. It was more boring and confusing than reading a school textbook.

Review haiku:

Fears that torment us,
Ghosts whispering in the dark.
The unquiet mind.

Absolutely beautiful and heart breaking. Not to compare it to the show, but Fall of the House of Usher really screwed up the emotional weight of this one.
