Seems like it would be a good fit for those with no direct (or indirect?) exposure to mental illness.

This book is incredible. It pulls away the curtain on various mental illnesses with truth and dignity. The stories within these pages are at times heartbreaking, but there is a sense of hope in the telling.

An astute, heart-wracked anthology on living with mental illness, consistently written in phenomenal prose. I gasped and laughed and wept.

Every single story in this book was incredibly written and extremely informative. They break through the stereotypes that exist around individuals with mental illnesses, one being that all cases of a specific illness are the same. It humanizes these illnesses and disorders, and gives great examples of how others have overcome their hurdles. Reading this taught me a lot about myself and gave me strength. I couldn't recommend this collection enough.
