This Story is a Slow Burn and to be honest I would recommend having all the books to read like one large story to truly enjoy. Oleander and Her Five Bonds are navigating and learning how to be in each others life while also harnessing their gifts and trying to stay ahead of the resistance. It’s a good read if you are in to storytelling and don’t mind lots of cussing and information being pulled out of characters slowly, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, as well as paranormal romance you will like this. This series is for fun not for literary excellence.

Interesting premise here! This book doesn’t get too far into the plot of this world, but there’s a lot of promise. In this book, we focus on the characters and what their interactions and relationships are like. It’s interesting, but the plot looks like it’s going to pick up in the next book!
