Absurd, enigmatic, and often inscrutable, but almost-narrative tales that have flavors here and there of: Gothic fiction, Grimm's Fairy Tales, Angela Carter, Alice in Wonderland, Studio Ghibli, David Lynch, Alexander Jodorosky, Luis Buñuel, Last Year at Marienbad, C.S. Lewis, and Gabriel García Márquez. It made me laugh a lot, but I didn't love it.
