This book had me hooked (bad pun in intended). It successfully explored a range of issues, such as: gender identity, mental illness, love and relationships, family, self harm, addiction, and most importantly: wellness and wellbeing. I loved this book. AND THE COVER IS SO PRETTY!

An intensely readable story. An insight into a world of privilege and vice. An interesting cast of characters.

I could not put this book down and read it within a couple of days!

The writing style is easy to follow and also makes it easy to pause reading within the middle of a chapter.

Lexi is born in to a rich family and finds herself with nothing to occupy her time other than party.

Dawson manages to tell her story in a gritty yet sophisticated way that does include triggers, but not enough that I felt I had to stop reading.

Overall A great read, however I would have enjoyed if there was more of a love story but I do realise this book is about suffering from addiction and recovering - the added love story is just a bonus!
