I love how Wendy Mass threads a story together. I always feel like I'm on a magnificent ride, with a faint idea of where I'll end up but no clue how I'll get there. Great storytelling!

I honestly liked this one the most so far!! I think the characters are super realistic and I love how all the story lines fall together and continuity is very strong.

12-year-old Tara spends the summer in her parents' small home town, Willow Falls, where everyone knows everyone else and "nothing is a coincidence." Strange things happen, and most of them seem to be traceable to the oldest person in town, Angelina D'Angelo, who runs a mysterious shop that is only visible to some people. Throughout the summer, Tara learns about friendship, her parents' pasts, and how to do tikkun olam - repairing the broken pieces of the world. Mostly realistic fiction-feeling, but with elements that could be supernatural. Best for ages 10-12.

An amazing book with an amazing character list. I enjoyed every bit of it. But everytime i was reading i felt there was a supernatural touch to it although it wasnt (not something hinted at directly, no spoilers).

This was such a fun charming book! I loved all of the characters. Wendy Mass was an new Author for me and I really enjoyed her style of writing. It is a story about a young girl who is sent to spend the summer with her Aunt and Uncle in a small town called Willow Falls. She meets some great friends and they help her with a task she has been given and needs to be completed by Friday the 13 which is her 13th Birthday. It is a sweet story of friendship, a little romance and how one girl can come out of her shell and make a difference in others lives. Things are not always what they seem.

I just have to say that I really enjoyed this series. It was light, but funny and sweet! Plus, any book that starts with the line "Like all big mistakes, mine started with a goat." Is a winner!
