Wren Martin indeed does ruin it all. Maybe even my enjoyment of this book, because damn, what a selfish boy he is! He doesn’t seem to be stressed by anything (except maybe the school dance), and at some points in the book, it seems like he thinks he is better than everyone else. I personally found this a bit much. But the plot was great, especially all the chatting through the Buddy App. I think Wren's asexuality was represented nicely as just the way he is, and the romance was cute. Also, I love this cover!

This was an amazing and fun read that I am surprised hasn't had more recognition. The plot was so very wholesome and cute. I loved every moment of this book start to finish. Asexual Wren Martian is a funny, witty and relatable character. Leo Reyes, the guy that is almost to perfect, is incredibly likable, funny and amazing. Though they both have their flaws that just go hand in hand.
Wren is dealing with the problem of guilt and not wanting to leave town due to his Mom that passed from cancer. While Leo is also having trouble as his brother is losing his battle with cancer.
The book had me laughing out loud, face hurting from smiling so much. Though the author somehow perfectly goes to deep emotional moments that had me on the verge of tears. The way Wren sees and thinks of Leo is so endearing. The big moment that unfolded at the dance had me folding. This book was an amazing journey and ride. This is one of my top reads as an amazing heart warming YA novel.

I was floored by how good this book is. As someone who isn't usually enraptured by YA, I couldn't put this down. While I predicted the main problem/conclusion really easily, I think the reader is supposed to and I was Open Mouth Gasping at the twists at the end. I literally cannot remember the last time I had a visceral physical reaction of shock and/or joy like that. This book is everything.

The push/pull of being a senior in high school is extremely well written and relatable, which I think makes the asexual storyline equally accessible and easy to learn from. There are a variety of other themes in this book, grief/relationships/etc, so I felt I was learning about asexuality in a very organic and not at all trite way.
