While I loved the idea of this story the execution was just not for me. I found myself bored during most of the read unfortunately. I do however think the characters, setting, and plot were really interesting.

I’m finding my attention is drifting too often
This book was on the recommended shelf at my local library and on a whim I checked it out. This was a challenging read because there were a lot of characters and a decent amount of Spanish. I'm ashamed that I don't speak fluent Spanish and I found myself in a familiar loop of skipping the phrases I didn't know. The few that I did were impactful and felt like I was connecting with the book more. But overall I found the 4 stories that were simultaneously being told underwhelming because the women don't really overcome anything!
