The first chapter was so slow that I almost gave up, but I heard the author speak at a conference, and she read a portion of it, which mesmerized me. I'm glad I didn't put the book down because most of the stories were excellent. A few novels can have 'mushy middles,' but this one was solid with a mushy beginning. Worth reading!

DNF at around 40% a heavier story than I bargained for.
listened to the audiobook in one sitting while i was coloring my coloring book lol. it was so good; LOVED the magical realism aka my favorite genre. the story was really compelling, and i enjoyed how the characters' lives intertwined.

Love this author and she did not disappoint. who knew ghost's interruptions could make a storyline so great. The author did a good job with so many characters to flesh out.
