Simply exceptional... A darkly beautiful, and eerily prescient book which always hooked me in for just a *few* more pages. Sadly, sometimes when I put the book down, and turned the news on, I couldn't always tell the difference...

Definitely not the story I thought I was getting myself into but glad I gave it a shot. Nothing I love more than a plot driven by female voices especially during a time when these voices are consistently stifled in America.

Un peu déçue, je reste un peu sur ma faim avec ce roman.

The theme of Red Clocks by Leni Zumas is women and the right to choose. This book is clear on which side of the question it stands on. I appreciate the premise of this book. The conversation is an important one. I also appreciate the surreal environment the book manages to create. However, for me, the book feels like it's trying too hard to be literary. I am left focusing on how the book is written rather than the story being told.

I started listening to this on audio but I had to switch to print because the two narrators and 5 POVs was too confusing for me. Also the writing is sparse and some style choices (opting for calling Ro "the biographer" instead of her name and Mattie "the daughter" etc in each of their POVs) were strange at first and hard to get used to. I do think this book was clever and chilling, but [b:Vox|37796866|Vox|Christina Dalcher|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1521051148s/37796866.jpg|59461956] was a more memorable feminist dystopian.

Interesting dystopian read. I always like the structure of multiple points of view. I liked the portrayal of envy
