Lie to Me

J.T. Ellison

Fast paced, but tried too hard with too many twists. I was rolling my eyes through the last quarter.

Hard to like these characters

Very good. Lots of twists and turns.

This book held my interest, but seemed to be exactly like Gone Girl, except for the happy ending. I had to see how it was going to end, very fast read.

So suspenseful! I definitely recommend to those who like a good mystery/thriller!

Plenty of twists and turns...

My favorite J.T. Ellison book to date!

I kept switching sides, and couldn’t figure out who I believed...but who’s the mystery viewpoint? Read, and find out!

This was a much better story than No One Knows. The audio book was read by several actors which made it very entertaining.

This book confused me. For about the first 70% of it, I was thoroughly convinced it was just a duller version of Gone Girl. Down to the occupation of the characters and the seemingly convincing plot of the wife framing her husband for murder and disappearing. Between the clumsy dialogue and general lack of likability of the characters, I had a hard time wading through it all, but decided to press on because I paid for it and wanted to finish. The only part of the book I genuinely enjoyed was the last 50ish pages when we got the real story of everything. I loved the idea of the manipulator being Sutton’s long last child (until it wasn’t). The ending fell flat for me though. I really didn’t think it was necessary to include that ivy wasn’t actually Sutton’s. It kind of just failed to sell me on everything and left me disappointed. It was already a big enough reveal that she was her daughter, why go back and renege on that?
