I came into this book hoping for a cheesy high school style romance, and most of that expectation was satisfyingly met! Maybe it’s just my outlook but I honestly felt so annoyed and frustrated with Scotty (Scottie?) for a majority of this listen, she was a hard to enjoy character for the most part for me and I would have enjoyed more if this perhaps was from Irene’s perspective 🩷 otherwise enjoyed for what it was!

I really loved this book, but I do have some questions.

- Are kids these days really still only watching rom coms from the 80s - mid-2000s?
- How many people decide to become a doula straight out of high school?
- Why is Can't Buy Me Love popular enough to be directly referenced in this book? (This is a sub question of the eternal question: why is Can't Buy Me Love popular?)
- Can I please get a Honeybell spinoff?

A very cute slow burn story between two "enemies". I wouldn't call it the best book I ever read but it's a cute read😊

I thought the enemies to lovers in this wasn't as obvious as some books are. I would've been interested in seeing more of the side characters' development.
