This was definitely a fun read but you'll probably get more out of it if you have a trip already planned. If you don't, you're probably going to do some skimming. It can also be a bit repetitive and has some fluff in it but don't let that discourage you. If you're interested in the subject matter then you'll probably enjoy the book.

Interesting but a bit repetitive in places. There was an element of racial stereotyping which could have been handled more sensitively.

By the title, I was expecting a Geeky (anime, videogames, tech) guide to Japan.
It turns out the title means a "Japanese Culture" Geek in Japan.
A very nice book, full of Japanese culture, a great variety of information, and a few travel guide pages in it.
Not too much in terms of actual geekdom or tours though.
