I really loved this book throughout. It was so cozy and wicked all at the same time. I was able to imagine myself at the Inn during the winter storm. It kept me intrigued because the entire time I could not pin down who I thought did it. There are so many interesting character dynamics. Favorite book I've read so far this year (March). I ordered all of her others.

Update in October after reading Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. I understand the authors inspiration. I've read several of Lapena's books now. This one is by far the best imo.

Just a 3 star read for me, as the book kind of failed to grip me from the start... I liked the suspense towards the end - the ending left me a little unsatisfied though.... Not because the story doesn‘t make sense, but because the killer was found because of such an obvious detail... Don‘t know how to explain it, just wished there would‘ve been more to it than a simple explanation in the end. The shocking factor wasn‘t really there.

That was definitely interesting. I really liked the story, but the reveal fell a bit flat for me. I didn’t expect it, but it still wasn’t life-changing if that makes sense.

But almost 4 stars because, again, I really enjoyed the book as a whole.
