Decent characters with wonderful designs, but a story that isn't strong enough for them to really shine. The art is very pretty, but has some iffy sequencing and layouts, with panel space not always being used effectively. An enjoyable read, but in the end nothing particularly special.

I enjoyed this graphic novel but since it is only a 4-issue story, it was incredibly fast paced and gave me little time to get attached to our main cast of characters. The love story felt like it developed too fast and the resolution at the end felt a little lacking. Really the only problem with this graphic novel is that I wanted more of it. The story and concept are great but it would have hit a lot harder if we had had more time to really delve into it but that's very common with comic books, unfortunately.

The art IS SO AWESOME! I really love the designs of the ferret/axolotl monsters especially.
I'm into magical girls recently so this really scratches an itch! The story feels rushed but it's just probably a one shot and in that respect it does work out. I gave an extra star because of the art and really cool character designs!
