Loved seeing Niles get his very much deserved HEA ❤️
The relationship between Niles and Constance is the best 'step parent' relationship between a MC and the other MC's child I've ever read.
Both characters were flawed but that just made them real, and so I could relate to them.
I'm glad I read Promises of Forever first so I could really appreciate the kindness and ability to love that Niles possess.

I loved this slow-burn romance between music teacher Niles and conductor August. They have instant chemistry, which clashes quickly due to their relationship with one another, but their simmering attraction remains, making this an incredible romance that I could not get enough of.
This story took me on a fantastic emotional journey seeing these two navigate their precarious positions, and struggling personal lives while embarking on a sweet and loving romance that against all the odds had the best timing possible.
I love August's transformation. He learns to love more than himself by becoming an active father while embracing love for the first time in his life. Watching August slowly unravel and learn to welcome foreign feelings was such a wonder. Also, seeing Niles risk his heart yet again for someone who wasn't fully ready was exhilarating. Both were unknowingly risking so much without any guarantee of a positive outcome, which makes their romance even more genuine.
Together these two go on an epic journey of discovery, risk, and yearning for a stronger connection than anticipated. There are many strong emotional moments and I was so happy to see these two finally figure everything out. This story is beautiful, heartfelt, and completely moving. I could not get enough of these characters and their story.

I found this book coincidentally. But I would say it was the best one too. I came for the music and love, and stayed for the writing. At times, I found the writing to be simple yet beautiful in its own way.
The way the symphony slowly unfolds in their lifes, making them reflect on their own insecurities, was so beautifully brought out. Well- crafted and layered characters (another thing I loved from this book).
The initial rough relationship between August and Constance was slowly flipped over by Niles on their sides. As a lover for one, while a mentor for the other.
" 'Symphony of Salvation' is the story of growth and self-acceptance. It's a depiction of a love I never knew could exist."

I loved it! This was a slow burn that I didn’t know I needed. Niles and August have that undeniable attraction to each other, but August isn’t ready for what Niles makes him feel.
August is dedicated to his daughter, focusing on improving her quality of life since assuming the role of her sole parent. Constance is mad, hurt, and just all-around angry at the situation. She didn’t want to move let alone move in with her father who hasn’t really been a father for most of her life, but with circumstances as they are, she has to learn to trust him.
Constance doesn’t make it easy either she is voluntarily mute because of a tumor on her larynx she has a prosthesis she can talk she just chooses not to. And August's refusal to learn ASL is a big contention between the two.
Niles is tasked with the art of being Constance’s teacher and co-teacher with August isn’t without its challenges.
I can’t even describe how much I loved this book once everyone opens up and learns to trust it is utterly beautiful. I need more stories like these heartfelt and hard-won. Makes it all the sweeter in the end.
I felt like Nick J. Russo did an incredible job with all the characters.
