Okay, I wanted to give the series a second chance after the disappointing experience with the previous book and it clearly hasn’t met my expectations.
To sum it :
Everly is a sports psychologist and she end up trying to "fixe" her ex-boyfriend aka the GOAT of the NHL.
First of all, Everly kept repeating "fixing him" like a broken record, again and again. It just didn’t feel right, I mean it was clearly not a wise choice of words for a professional psychologist to caricature how she could sort out whatever was going on with her patient.
Second point , the male protagonist didn’t even face what was actually going on, I mean Everly was paid for six months plus a big rental chalet to actually do nothing.. talk about work ethic. The main reason that made me want to give it a try was her job and how she could help him… none of these two topics were present nor treated.

It was a very entertaining book but I don’t think it’s one that I’ll think about on the daily
