Highly enjoyable read. I got in on a recommendation from a friend for that reason and it didn't disappoint. Jenny takes ridiculous situations and makes it more hilarious with her anxiety-ridden commentary. Even difficult topics like miscarriages and the death of a family pet are turned on their head and you find yourself laughing out loud.

Again another book to make me laugh on the train and get all the weird looks when I'm trying to smoother my giggles and end up releasing a strange puff of air accompanied with a high pitched noise and some shoulder shaking X'D

I really loved hearing more about Jenny's childhood and wow what a childhood it was. Her Dad is such a character and I loved her Mum and just her whole family <3

I'm really glad I read Furiously Happy first as I did love it more and it kept me engaged in this book in a way since I still had all her other stories fresh in my brain to fill in all the references.

While I didn't love this "as" much as furiously happy i loved it a lot and any book that makes me laugh out loud in a public place is a pretty damn good book.

I made the mistake of reading this in the library, which meant I had to stifle my near constant laughter. Everyone probably thought I was crazy. Anyway, five stars for being fucking hilarious.

Like a lot of memoirs, it starts out strong. Her childhood was crazy; her adulthood a little sad.
emotional funny informative lighthearted fast-paced

ramblings of a "crazy" but wise lady. I was immersed and intrigued from start to finish. Her inner monologue was almost a caricature yet somehow still believable. The stories were unbelievable but true. It was so fun to experience a world and reality from the perspective of someone who grew up in such a different environment but was still loved and is clearly very intelligent. She is who she is and it was lovely to see her come to terms with that. The pictures and footnotes were excellent additions. What a fun and memorable read!

So funny and true.

I never want to read a book written by a blogger again. This book should have had an editor. If it did indeed have an editor, that editor should be fired. This book is rambling and point-free, like a blog. It is, though, a good airplane read, in that it's a quick read, and should be left on the plane.

I am in need of aspirin.
