First one was better. This is more quotable, but starts a lot slower. First 100 odd pages are a slog which is not really deserved given it is a really good concept and some great characterisation of egotistical humans and master manipulators. I will read the final one.

I feel like I need to reread it even though I just finished it last night. It's like a lot and nothing happened at the same time (the Paradox title feels very fitting). We got a bunch of information but it still feels like we're very near where we started off plot-wise. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds in the final book.

Just YES. YES! TEAM VARONA. I can’t wait till the third book. Olivie has such a unique down to earth way of writing I just love.

Ok this one went so much faster than the first. The plot was moving, truths were being exposed. I loved it. Reading Blake’s books are like reading a treatise on philosophy with her unique world view. I am eagerly going to pick up book 3 and cruise through that now too.
