This book was really amazing. I definitely recommend it to anyone working with at risk kids, but even if your kids don't come from an at risk background, this book will teach some amazing skills.

Great again the second time. Very convicting.

Very good general overview. Also describes specific issues. We haven't adopted yet so maybe I will come back and review it again when I reread it.

Good book, my brain and emotions were making this one a very tough and changing read. Well worth the effort to finish though.

A must-read for every adoptive or foster parent, but beneficial to any parent or person who works with children. Lots of practical advice with research to back it up. If you have a chance to see Karyn Purvis at an Empowered to Connect conference I highly recommend it!

This was a fantastic book for understanding and empathizing with the needs of traumatized children. While the focus is adoption, these strategies and perspectives apply to any child who has been through trauma and attachment losses. I believe anyone working with children in tough places should read this book!
