Where this story falls flat is intrinsic to the plot itself, and starts about halfway through the book. For the record, I was enjoying the first half where it
went into detail of Prince Caspian's losses leading a rebellion, the 1000 some-odd year gap that kids skipped over with the Narnian time delay, and rediscovering the old ruins of their old castle.
After that, there's nothing to keep the plot grounded!
Aslan comes into the picture later,
and all stakes are lost. Maybe it's perfect for children, but with all the archaic words of royalty I find it hard they would enjoy this either. Who is this for?

And the ending was pretty much the same as the last one. There was interesting bits with the
Telmarines and their origins,
but the battle is, in my opinion, over too quick and the falling action is too drawn out. Slightly disappointing.

This one bored me a bit and seems like an almost direct retelling of hamlet for kids. Also the pevensie children are starting to get very annoying (Except Edmund)

The descriptions of the swordplay and action sequences was wonderfully vivid. Lewis transitions so smoothly from descriptions of wacky magical exploits to gritty war scenes. Simply delightful.
